1. I finally found the time to drive to e-bogu and get me a set. I got the 5/2.5 mm set and it is great. I cant wait to go to practice and get the crap beaten out of me by my senpai.
2. I also have a question the chin rest in my men is very irritating to my chin any suggestions to reduce the itch? I think just putting in something like a spare tenugi would help but I don't know.
3. Will post pics soon.:ninja:

Just deal with it. Getting a itch under your men is normal, and there ain't much you can do. All part of the fun.

I don't think he's talking about that kind of itch, but more the - it's rubbing my chin raw and it itches/chafes. Kurosaki can clear that up. If that's the case, I suggest making sure that you're clean shaven although there are others here that wear beards and facial hair and all that, but the hairs, when sweating, can really irritate the skin.
My men occasionally chafes around the chin, but it's just something I deal with. If it's actually rubbing the skin raw, check with your sensei and they should be able to help more.

The itching is more of a chafing on the front my chin from the men. Anyway I would never buy the e-bogu nose scratcher when you can just use a chopstick but they are very interesting.

I cut tenagui into thirds, and fold the pieces several times and put one in the chin rest. Works great, and absorbs lots of sweet, which saves the men.

This works well. Eguchi used to sell them.

if the men fits you well, putting a tenugui in the chin may make it a little tighter than you want (one usually uses that to make a big men fit snugger, as i myself do.) But if it seems to just be the material that is bothering you, then a cut piece of cloth/tenugui (that wont be so bulky as to make the men uncomfortable) as Hyarion said, will probably work well.
Of course, if it is new, nothing new is comfortable, so if you just stick it out, the material will probably soften up and not be as itchy.
Good luck to ya =)

Ah so. The chin area on my Moribudo men was particularly rough. Chaffing would be a mild term. I cut a small piece of cloth that was a similar blue and sewed it over the chin rest.

I have fixed the problem by taking an old shirt and cutting a large piece and folding it to help reduce the annoyance of the chin rest. I also help reduce the problem by taking a strip of foam and making a makeshift men pad that runs the entire length of the men to also help reduce movement. Thank you for all the help.
