600 American dollars is a very good price for a 3mm, in my opinion.

Looks good.

I paid about $1100 for my 4mm from Tozando about 5 years ago... prices these days are MUCH lower than that... (except I think Tozando's prices are still kinda up there)...

I say go for it.

in fact, it seems to me that i remember that you could get an ***8mm*** for no less than US$300 at some point.

A friend of mine bought that very same set, and he is happy with it. I have the 2mm eBogu set (which is vaguely similar) so naturally I took a good look at his. It's very nice, however it is brand new and he's worn it only for a few practices. I can tell you that after a few months I really like my 2mm set and I suspect my friend will say the same about his 3mm set in a couple of months. It looks just as sturdy and well made as mine.

I think eBogu is a good place to buy. The equipment seems to be good and at a fair price, the service is good, and the shipping is fast and efficient. (If you purchase from outside the USA their "efficient" shipping comes in handy. ;-)) My $0.02, anyway. I doubt you will find a better price on a comparable 3mm set but keep looking! You just never know. Comparing bogu sets is like apples and oranges... it's hard to compare sets just by what resellers tell you.

You just have to wait for Tozando to have a sale (like right now), and then they're competitive. Also bear in mind that a 4mm set from one supplier can be better than a 3 mm set from another - it is not possible to compare only by the stitch width.

First, start off with something under $400. Then, when you quit, you won't have to get upset that you spent so much money.
