so what's your point? In the heat of a match people get off balanced.
Oh I forgot, you wouldn't know that...when you finally have a match at a taikai pls post it.

It's called tai-atari (to the face). that was some mighty fine awareness by both guys. IF you come at someone with your arms in the air, you asking to get knocked down, but again these youngsters had good enough awareness to get back up.

people get knocked down all the time.

That's some nice ukemi and zanshin.

That's EXACTLY what I thought, along with some skill envy. I particularly liked the ukemi, coming up ready to go, awesome.

That was great!

Both got up again and went for it, great spirit.

To bad it didn't show the whole fight. I'm kind of curious how the match ended.

Simultaneous disarment followed by a judo match which ended in a simultaneous ripping off of dogi, followed by a sumo match in which both competitors tossed each other out of the ring that's right.....simultaneously.

Hey you asked..

Too bad it wasn't the ladies division, there could be some gel pit outside the ring with more simultaneous stuff going on.

So Neil, would you like to tell me again that judo won't help me with kendo?

I mean, look at the way they handled that fall! It was picture-perfect!

Aikido, Jiu Jiustu and Judo should all be benefitual. Beside the workout you get from these matial arts you work also on your balance.

I've done some Jiu Jiutsu myself and this helped my Karate which i was doing at the time big time.

Because if I'd be sweaped down I'd be up before they would realise it.
