Hi. I´m going to buy some stuff from kendoshop.com and I would like to ask somebody who has experiences with such schoping when I should pay (before delivery or after), how safe is it, how long take the air parcel from Corea to Slovak rep.(approximately) Are there any troubles on custom office?

In my experience ordering stuff overseas, I have always used a credit card and I have never had a problem. If there was a problem and I did not get my merchandise, I would dispute the charges on the card so I would not lose any money.

I have noticed that the company I ordered from did not charge my credit card UNTIL they shipped the stuff, so I do not know if this is an option for you (credit card vs. money order, for example)..

As for shipping from Korea to Slovakia, I guess it depends. DHL, or FedEx, or UPS could do it.. might take a week or two (this is just a guess)...


And I think these companies already do customs clearance, so that should not be a problem at all!! :) (I know for sure that FedEx does their own customs clearance..It's supposed to be handled at the point of sale, i.e., the company you are ordering from).

Kendoshop has nice products and good prices, only downfall is the shipping cost.

Also, they tend to mess up a lot, so you have to watch out for that. They are really good in dealing with their mistakes though, so don't worry about it too much if you want to order from them. Usually, you'll end up getting some free stuff.

They messed up my order alright, but it's fine. I'm not much of a person that complains. The stuff they have is real nice quality. Delivery isn't so bad either, once kendoshop receives your payment, they'll ship it out asap. I wouldn't mind buying something from kendoshop again.

So my payment should be send sometime after they recieve my order and before they ship it out? In other words, they will not send my stuff til I pay them?

Of course, a lot of online stores won't send things to you until you pay them. If you have a credit card, then expect a speedy delivery. Money order will take a a week or so to get there and that still doesn't guarantee that your order will be sent out because they still have to process your money order. Believe me, I've been using money order for a long time and it takes a lot of patience. It takes about a week to receive your package after everything is all processed.
