Presents for the New Year

I figure I might as well ask early, just in case I need to budget. Should I be doing anything in particular for sensei or my senpai at the dojo for the new year's holidays? One thing to keep in mind here is that the oldest kouhai is, uh, I believe 10 or 11.


One interesting thing I learned today... Sensei is nana-dan, and there's apparently only one hachi-dan in all of Gunma. Wow.

I wouldn't bring anything unless others do. I usually send out nengajo to my sensei or at least the dojo. That's about it.

If its a close dojo you might have a year end party, but thats not to hard to budget for. Make sure to pour some sake for your sensei.

Oh and don't forget the "yoi o toshi wo" business!
