Hey all!

I've been practising Tsuki (particularly morote) quite a lot recently. When just practising the technique I seem to be doing everything ok, can't see anything major wrong with the way I'm doing it but during jigeiko I just can't seem to get it right.

Any thoughts, comments on this would be appeciated.

I'm getting quite accurate (though still a bit shallow) at katate tsuki and it only really works when I just do it. Kind of like doh; the more I think about it, the more I think about the consequences of missing it, the more likely I am to miss it.

Obviously this only really applies to people with a certain amount of grounding in tsuki.

Edit: Ack.. you're Sandan.. shutting up now.

Yeah I'm a Sandan that completely sucks at Tsuki!!! lol

I completely suck at everything to be honest but I do try!!!

I tried Katate Tsuki against Gibbo in the semi-final of the Premier a few years back, of course I completely missed it and he just stepped forward and cut Men!!! (i'm sure he'll remember it as my attempt was that bad!!! lol)

On a side note Shred Lord how many teams is the Glasgow area entering for the 3s next weekend?

You're lucky. He's Shinpan.

Tsuki works best against people who retreat a lot and people who stand still pretending to "hold centre". Otherwise it'll just get you hit.
