Hello everyone. Recently I have become increasingly interested in kendo and have tried to find schools around my home but am unable to... I don't know if this is the right place to put this topic so sorry.

Anyway: I live in Kearny New Jersey. The closest school I can find is in Jersey City but thats a good 30 minutes to an hour drive everday just to get there and my parents can't take me there.
I would like to know if anyone can help me find a closer school to my town.

P.S. - Sorry that this probably made no sense... I almost always tired because I don't sleep much... Thanks for your help, good bye.

There are three/four places which may be closer to you.

1. Sung Moo - 415, Hwy 18, E. Brunswick, NJ 08816 (Village Green Plaza) www.kendoacademy.com

2. Rutgers Kendo Club - New Brunswick - www.kendoka.org

3. Shidogakuin NJ - 33 Lakeview Blvd., Edison, NJ - www.kendoka.org

4. Princeton, NJ - I know there's a small club which meets weekly there, but have no further information on them.

Good luck.

I already knew about those but thanks anyway :)
I convinced my mom to take me to one of those schools (forgot the name) next time they have beginer classes to check it out, how much it costs, etc.
Anyway, sorry about posting this topic here, I just saw the "Dojo" section so if a mod could kindly move it... :)

Damnit, just talked to my parents... there is no way they can take me to any of the schools or any of the others I have found so far...
