"All-in-one" Tsuba + Tsubadome

Hi folks,

Has anyone gotten a chance to try out those "all-in-one" tsuba+tsubadome gadgets recently?

It's basically a plastic tsuba with the rubber tsubadome "embedded" inside the tsuba, for convenience. I think Eguchi USA sells them, though you can find them pretty much anywhere in Japan.

Are they any good? It looks somewhat flimsy to me...

One of my friends in Japan had a couple of them and they looked ok to me.
I still prefer the look of a a leather tsuba & tsuba-dome, though :)

jacobs talking about my one... i picked it up at the all japans recently. dont know about the eguchi one, but mine is cool. once its on it doesnt come of... and its taken a few full-on wacks now and its fine. i dont know if you can use them in shiai yet.. i think not. anyway, with it on my shinai i showed jacob who the boss is ... anyway, jacobs shinai bukuro, men chigawa, and tsuba dome are all mixed-up colour wise... he doesnt have a [colour] theme.

sort out your fashion before you diss my all-in-1 tsuba!!
