Besides as you already pointed out this is just marketing.
I think it's kind of funny that they decided to cut corners just bought a shinai instead of mogito or bokuto at least.

My guess is that it's not in Japan. It says Premiere underneath the Mitsubishi logo, instead of NEW OPEN oe some shit like that.

exactly. mitsubishi is all over the world. i'd bet this particular ad wasn't schemed in japan...

They may already...usually in a Turkish Bath house tthough......besides he was in college and needed the money.
