Just wondering if you all have cathredral size ceilings in your homes because I don't!
Right now the weather outside is still cold but I am waiting for the spring so I can get outside and practice.
Where do you practice? I have seen many people practice Tai Chi outside but have never seen anyone doing Iaido or Kendo. I wonder how people will react when they see some guy waving a Bokken around...I can just see the local police pulling up to ask questions...
Seriously though I plan to practice outside in areas around here that have trails and spaces you can go where only hikers are around. Other than that I don't know where I can go, the local YMCA will certainly not let me in to practice with a sword, be it wooden or not...
Let me know where you go to practice...

Well, I did practice outside during the late fall when it was just beginning to get cold. However, it's starting to drop below freezing temperatures, so I've turned to this local church that has a dance hall upstairs. Hardwood floor and all. My family's a member, so that helps alot. Other than that, alot of people have talked about practicing suburi at home in seiza. I've never been to a YMCA, but this ritzy club that a friend of mine is a member of lets this karateka practice in their aerobics/dance room, and he works with bo and jo.
I'm also waiting for it to warm up -- I was just getting into a habit of practicing every day, too.
Good luck, man!

What instrument do you play in your "garage band", I play guitar.
Anyway, I will look for places that will allow me to jump in and practice but I will not pay money. It's going to end up being some tiny space, and most likely no heat...
