Alexander McQueen is known for his quirky and weird runway shows. In Paris Fashion Week 2008, McQueen showcased his spring/summer collection inspired by birds.

I caught a glimps of the men looking masks on TV, intrigued, I spent the past 2 hours searching the net eager to find out who is the designer. If anybody was to put a kendo mask in a fashion show it would be Alexander McQueen.

snip...... If anybody was to put a kendo mask in a fashion show it would be Alexander McQueen.

I was interested to see a fashio-related post on KWF....

Having seen your OP I checked your profile - which lists designers;- -
very interesting........I then loaded your flikr page;Your KWF name is not an exageration.

I do not mean to sound like a pervert [Sats, you out there...?]
but I may add that photostream to my 'Favourites'....

On more serious [MA] topic;
Congrats on the Ikkyus - - do you have your shodan tests booked?

So.... are they classified as Tezashi or what? :D

Truth to be told....I got less irritated than seeing Beckham/Lopez in one and more less than the Korean edition of plastic so called future design.

Holy crap. I was really worried.

These girls are so skinny, I really thought there necks where going to snap from the wheight of the men. :D

I really don't see what designers see in these girls. Anyone who's into women knows that we want a bit of meat on the bones. :p

Actually I used to look like those girls... then kendo and iaido happened, now I look like Schwarzenegger's twin sister.

Lol if they did kendo...

That's why alot of the designers are gay lol jk

All they're missing are himo with little diamonds.

Of course I should condemn this, but I really love the girly look
It would be awesome in jigeiko especially if she beats you to a pulp , a little flashy but fun nonetheless.

@prettygirl, nice pics. I like the au natural more then your other normal non kendo related pictures if you don't mind me saying so. Don't know how serious you model but wouldn't the bruises and ugly feet as a result of kendo be a problem?

I kind of enjoyed it. I love how with these types of shows, they just go wild and experiment with all sorts of weird and wonderful creations - offering new angles on and challenging how we perceive our world. Not that I know anything about fashion ... :)

The girls are just clothes racks -- they aren't selling the girls to you ; they are selling the clothes to buyers in haute couture boutiques in Paris and trying to drive up interest in their brand.

And I actually thought the hot pink menganes were a cool idea for the fashion show.

Thanks! Well let's just say I take kendo and iaido much more seriously than I do modeling lol.

I forgot about this! I looked at these pictures a while ago, and just ran across them again. They gave me a good laugh, but the woman who ends up wearing this to practice and then wasting you will get the last laugh, I'm afraid =)

I think that it is a good take on the traditional "men"

And It's rather fashionable, you can wear it on a rainy day or a windy day also

A great accessory, if it doesn't mess with your hair that is:D
