Does anyone know if there are plans to stream, or make available this year's WKC so those of us who aren't able to make the trip to Sao Paulo can follow the event as it's happening or shortly thereafter?

I have no solid evidence, but I highly doubt it.
Though I think live streaming is an awesome Idea. I just watched the Evo 2009 videogame championships all on live stream and it was pretty sweet.
If the kendo community wasn't run by old men, Im sure the Idea of live streaming might have been a possiblility, lol.

There used to be a site in korea that offered live streaming. I watched Glasgow on that. Company has gone belly up since then and no one seems to have taken over for them...

It doesn't even get put on TV in Japan. I was really annoyed when I found that out.

Well, there's bound to be someone on here with a cell phone with access to Twitter. That way, we get some immediate updates on who won with what. This is pretty much the ONLY good use of twitter that I can think of.

I don't know if the organisers in Brazil can get on to it in time but I came across this website www.qrodo.com that specialises in live streaming of video events. I don't know what costs are involved, they're singularly vague about that, but it would seem it was good enough for the Stockholm Kendo Open in October last year

The technology is out there...

I believe the FIK was posting the results as it went along last time or perhaps I am thinking of the AJKC.
They may very well post updates this time.
