Isn't the new Muse album out like next week? I was listening to Muse night last night on BBC Radio 1 and some of the songs sound fantsstic, in a 'I don't quite know why I like these, but I do' kind of way. For instance they played a snatch of the second song on the album which as I was driving home by myself nigh on moved me to tears [I don't know why]. Yet my second reaction to it was I felt it sounded like an ABBA song, what's THAT all about.

Obviously there's a whole lot of Queen going on and I'm imagining this is going to be such an 'overblown' album rich in theatre and spectacle. I'm sure I'll love it, in actual fact I've just got Jeff Wayen's War of the Worlds so I'm clearly, musically, heading that weird space opera vibe at the moment. Can't wait to see it in the shops.

Space opera vibe... that makes me think of Orson Welles's War of the Worlds or Pink Floyd's Let There Be More Light.

Every Muse album since Origin of Symmetry has become increasingly stadium rock and this makes me sad.

I only got Showbiz recently and I put The Resistance on my puter yesterday it finished the album and went straight into Sunburn. My immediate thought was that I had The Resistance on loop and it must be Uprising as that's the song that's been played most on the radio. So for me, I don't see quite the huge variety most other folks see.

Now you put Pitch Shifter's 'Indutrial' on and then compare it to their last release 'PSI', now there's a lesson in a band evolving!

The CD packaging on The resistance sucks though.

It was only a matter of time before you brought Pitch Shifter into this ;)

They're always with me, well they're tattooed on my body they can't not be! 6 songs in the bag for their new album... :cool2:
