I know people've done this, but do you just take it to your local dry cleaning place or do you take it to some specialty store to get it cleaned??
btw washing your gi at the dry cleaners.. wouldn't that be potentially problematic with all the dye and stuff (even though water isn't involved...)

I take my hakama and gi to the dry cleaners quite often. They do a great job, especially with sharpening up the creases on the hakama.

A number of people who've mentioned it here have said that when they took the hakama to the dry cleaner's, they made sure to show the cleaner how it was supposed to be folded/pressed.

My mom added a zipper in 2 pillow covers. 1 for the gi and 1 for the hakama.
I wash them at 40C.
They go in folded, the way how I fold them at the dojo and afterwards I hang them out to dry.
I iron the hakama when it's slightly moist so the creases get sharper.
The gi I just fold.
