It might be a bit late, but since the forum was down during the seminar I'll post it anyway ;).

I just wanted to know who participated to the seminar and what you thought of it. It was the first time for me and I really enjoyed myself there.

I also wish to thank all the members of the japanese delegation, who did a great job teaching us. I'd also like to thank Uetake Masaru in particular, I worked with him a lot and I really appreciate the way he encouraged me after the practice was over.

it was GREAT! but the lessons were a bit too long... also i thought the break was too long too.. it wlda been better with shorter lessons and more shorter breaks...

also, it wlda been great if the sensei's cld speak english... but still it was great...

Quoted from Shiro "too much seiza for me..."

btw, shiro, the sensei we had at the last lesson, he was like a dictator... it was scary... he was like big, and hairy, and yelling in a language i didnt understand, and made us do seiza for 30 minutes... :'(

it was still fun though :) cant wait for the next seminar,, if there is one... i just gta worry about my first kyu exam in feb...

I almost forgot that..... the seiza..... yes, it was really painful :).
We were lucky Ito sensei allowed us to relax on time, else......
but still, painful experience.....

That's Fukuda sensei you're talking about, he did look a bit scary but his speech was good and he helped me to find the beginner hall :).
I don't see why there won't be one next year, it's by far the biggest kendo and iaido events in Belgium and quite big in Europe too.

Don't worry about your kyu exam, just relax and do what they say.

i meant, other seminars or tourneys or 'stages'...

im not sure if you'll be going too, but every year, out kendo club, does a zee stage, where we do kendo on the beach all day, and also a kendo camp, a whole WEEK of kendo! :>

no idea when they are though...

remember how long it took to take the photos? ;)

It was really cool to do shiai against these senseis. It made me realise that I still got a long way to go.

It looks to be for kendoka not older than 18, since I'm 22..... :/

I don't know if the Butokukan will be there, our sensei didn't talk about it yet
