Hi

Some site had a small 84MB documentry about the hachidan ( spelling ?) grading . Thanx to the korean ? subtitles i havent been able to get the name of the second older kendoka taking the test , did anyone catch his full name ?

And this documentry is a few years old , does anybody know if the older gentelman has passed the test ?

Any help would be great =)

Ishida (the younger of the 2) passed, I'm not sure about the other sensei.

The older one was Kei Miyamoto. I think the forum member Mingshi wrote here before that he never passed.

That's an awesome documentary. It boggles the mind that people so old are that good at kendo when they look so frail and harmless.

Just like Yoda... hobbles in, kills everything, hobbles out... :P

No... He was originally supposed to though IIRC.
