Delayed! grrrrrrrr.......

Kill Bill : Volume 2 was pushed back to April I realize that the sword fighting was so far from real and the blood way over done but I enjoyed the first one alot.

Kill Bill: Volume 1 DVD has been delayed as well until Late March.

I liked the story line, but i didnt like the fighting scenes! They were so unreal! You cannot handle a katana with one arm! It's so heavy! And arms don't fly away when they are cut!plus blood splash was way too much. Though it was a good tarantino style movie.
We've got some nice movies coming up.I have to see last samurai ASAP!Argh!I just dont have free time at night!I've got way too many sports training!wish I wasnt doing 4different sports a week!!!!!!!

On the credits it said the fight scenes were done by a Chinese man. But actually if you watch a Japanese samurai film like Azumi they are not 100% realistic, it was strange how 80% of cuts in that film where across the body, you can do that in Niten but not kendo :(. Any one know what I mean?

Don't forget it's a parody about asian b-movies, so the unrealistic fighting is on purpose :D

Kill-bill was based on 'Lady snow blood' a 1970s movie in the line of 'Sougun assassin'. Read this: http://www.jeremysilman.com/movies_tv_tt/lady_snowblood.html

Yeah actually the girl that played Gogo was in one of those B movies, I can't remember the name off hand it was about a bunch of japanese kids sent to an island in a fight to the death. The movie was made to be off the wall though so that is why it was.

If you want a real samurai type movie...I would recommend anything by Akira Kurasawa particualiar Ran or Seven Samurai..just a warning they are kinda artsy flicks.

Gogo, she was in Ring, the japanese version, may be she was in Battle Royal as well, I didnt pay that much attention when i was watching battle royal as it was too gory for me....:ko:

Akira Kurosawa is a good director to watch but seven samurai was very boring when i watched it 2years ago. One of his film is called "ikiru"(to live) is really good movie to watch. You feel like you get something that you were missing after watching it. Anyway, if you are in Japan watch the NHK jidai geki that's on sunday night. At the moment they are doing Shin-sen gumi. I dont know what it is like, but this period is one of my favorite!you should check it out!!!!

hehe will make note of that Yukiko..

That's it! Battle Royale...that movie was actually a major influence on Kill Bill, read an interview with Tarantino about it in Rolling Stone.
