This sort of stuff happens loads in FOOTBALL to put the opposition off.

A few of the most famous examples involve Vinny Jones/Gazza (here (http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/44442000/jpg/_44442581_gazza_jone300s.jpg)) in the 80's and Carlos Valderama back in the 90's (No access to youtube at work otherwise i'd post up a link).

There's also worse examples in rugby :D

I had no idea Vinny played Soccer. That's awesome. But why crush another man's nuts?

Vinny 'played' in it loosest sense. He basically ran around kicking the opposition, i think he still holds the record for the quickest sending off in a game (red card). 15 seconds or summat.

//edit: He has the fastest booking (yellow card) in england - 3 seconds after kickoff.

The bloke who's balls were getting crushed is Gazza (Paul Gascoigne), who was one of the most skilful player in England at the time. Anything to put him off his game :rambo:

I have no idea why, either, but I'd drop somebody in a heartbeat if they tried that crap with me.

If the ref aint looking......... its legal..... right?????? That might occupy my thoughts for a few minutes, and thats just long enough for the other guy to score.

No, touching another bloke's nads deffo aint legal. If you drop him then he's achieved his aim and got you sent off.... its all gamesmanship.

Dont get the impression this type of windup happens all the time in football, i've personally never seen it while at a match.

There's lots of other methods without the need to touch another man's balls. Including sneaky elbows, finger pokes in the ribs, standing on their feet just before they jump for a header etc.. I'm sure US sports have their equivalent.

Nah we just come up with really creative touchdown dances.

Understood, but I still think that there's a difference between getting an advantage by using questionable tactics and doing something disgustingly vulgar to your opponent.

And I'd still drop somebody for doing that even if it's not strictly forbidden, but that's just me.
