Hi Alex and Hamish and Kendo-World staff,

Thanks.

We can indeed. It's going through final design/page number checks at the moment, with it being sent to the printers early next week. We anticipate deliveries starting from early February. As a warm-up, we will shortly be posting videos from the recent All Japan mens and women's champs, and from the World Champs on the site. Should be up in the next 24 hours.
Thanks for everyone's understanding with the delays we've had this year!
Best regards
Hamish

just got mine as well...up to the usual standard. Sad that some people have had a go at you over delivery, my last issue disappeared in the post and you guys were spot on in getting me a replacement. Hopefully you get more thanks than put downs! Keep up the good work.
Any chance on an article on spearwork BTW? I know its a little out of context but it is part of the curriculum for some koryu! (and I fancy reading about it anyway...)

Alex and Hamish and KW staff,
Just got home and found the lastest issue in my mailbox. It looks great
as always, can't wait to settle in and read it tonight.
One question though. At one point it was mentioned that there
would be a CD of the 12WKC with this issue but I didn't find one enclosed. The plastic wrapper on my copy was ripped open exposing the magazine. I'm wondering if it fell out or is the CD being saved for a later issue?
Thanks as always.

Glad to see that the magazine is arriving!
We did plan to put a CD ROM of the All Japans and the Worlds in this Issue but had a change of plan. There were 2 reasons for this. 1/ Many people seem to have trouble getting the CDs to work. 2/ To make the CD costs a lot of money so we decided to edit all of our film and upload it to the website instead. As we have changed our server recently, we have virtually unlimited space for video, and it doesn't cost us anything at all.
All you would have to do is download the files from the KW Homepage.
This was supoosed to have happened a few weeks ago, but Hamish is in Belize until next week. He will upload the video as soon as he gets back.
In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the mag!

You're kidding right??!!
The copies I saw didn't have any problems, but we have had a few issues with the printer in the past. We'll send you out a new issue ASAP.

Got mine yesterday, March 11. Looks good, and I echo what Tim said: I hope you are drawing more praise that criticism for your valued work.

That's bloody it!
We're changing printers. This is ridiculous! If you have faulty copies, email us at editor@kendo-world.com with your details, and we'll send you out another copy straight away.

I got my issue a couple of days ago and everything appears to be good. No pages missing or repeated or anything. Good stuff...

Good to hear!
This is the second time we've had a major problem with the printing. As of yet we have no idea how many copies have been affected, but if you hear of any, please let us know and we'll send a replacement.
Until now we have been printing the magazine in New Zealand. As much as we'd like to help out companies in NZ, these printing problems are killing us. For your information, we are negotiating with a printing company in Singapore to take over from now on. In the meantime please help us find the faulty mags.
Yours,
Alex

I have some experience with printers from working in the ad industry here in the States. I'm not sure what the situation is where you are, but here in Michigan, USA there are so many printers that a client can easily fire one that doesn't consistently produce quality pubs and get several new bids from competitors.
