Hey,
It's been quite some time since I've last been on here. I saw my dreams of a OCC Kendo Club die, got screwed over my my Father, I've been central to a nasty divorce between my parents, had my gf break up with me over religion and finally were lousing our home. So to say the least '09 was a pretty bad year for me and in my troubles I stopped coming here or practicing.

However, This is a new your and I hope to change things around.
My Father's plan's backfired, I'll be buying myself a used Vespa soon and I've been trying to remember my footwork in the spareroom from back when SamuelRiv used to take the bus up to OCC.

If all goes well I hope to get my motorcycle license this summer and head up to Rochester to try to take lessons there. I may try to see if any of the local people interested in kendo want to set up some sort of carpool.

On a side note, I've noticed that when I've been doing Kirikaeshi, all of my troubles seem to melt away. I'd say that it's even more calming than any of my visits to Hoen-Ji. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Anywho, Cheers! I've missed you guys

~Charles Poltenson~

PS - I see you guys changed the Layout of Kendo-World

Welcome Back! Sounds kinda like the year I had (09) :P. But cheers to a new year, new beginnings, and resolutions! Good luck with your practice
