Old-style Bogu Construction

Hello,

Does anyone here knows if there are any bogu-makers in Japan that still makes old-style bogu?
Like the interlaced bamboo Dou etc...

I think that any shop that has a handmade bogu on their list should be able to provide that.

click on the Do colour options, about half way down the image Aijro Amikake do in natural Black or red.

I ordered a black (painted?) natural-bamboo ("old fashioned") doh from Ken-budo in Tokyo couple years ago. I think it's cool but I can definitely feel being hit across the ribs compared to the usual doh. Maybe mine was a bit low-priced and so, it can't be expected to protect....
