I've been out for the longest period of time and was surprised to see the new KW. Am still familiarizing here so I haven't searched yet if there are any threads about the latest movie of Uma Thurman;Kill Bill.

I've seen the movie but I noticed that action scenes were heavily done in Hong Kong style movies.I was counting more of the 60's genre of Japanese movies when it comes to swordstyle since Nihonto were used here . What can you say about this movie and do you think that kendo club enrolments will increase after watching this one?

about the fighting...maybe it was beacuse it was filmed in hong kong. i don't know if kill bill will make people join(maybe a little), but the last samurai made LOTS of people join.

Miramax is supposedly going to release Takeshi Kitano's 2003 remake of Zatoichi on June 4, 2004.

This trailer wasn't put together by Miramax and doesn't display the movie like a comic book like Miramax. I hate Miramax.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I had a question regarding the sword used by Uma in the film. It was to my understanding that engraving wasn't done on the visible portion of the blade as this would weaken it. Any information if this is accurate?
