I am at Alec's place putting back a fair few bottles of NZ wine with Kan in celebration!! (Sorry Mike K., wish you were here)
Other huge news is our own contributor Ozawa Hiroshi sensei and NY's Kato sensei both passing 8-dan gradings on the 1st May.
We will be trying to interview Kato sensei over the next few days.
We called Ozawa sensei to congratulate him at 0110 Japan time, and despite gout he was still drinking in celebration!! There is a reason why he fits into the KW team!!

Did the other guy pass? Just curious to know whether I saw it well or not.
It was cool and crisp if I may say so. But I bet you didn't feel that way.

Congratulations!
I said it when he passed 6th dan and I'll say it again... Bennett must be getting old. 7th dan is no small accomplishment for a man his age after all :)

Well I'm finally watching series 2 of "The Wire" and the wharfies in that show have a beer with a raw egg in it for breakfast. It could work.
By 'loot' I mean show us a picture of the new same do you promised yourself if you passed.

Wow, beautiful Kendo. You really deserve it!
The men strike in the first match was very nice.
