Warning! This is for game-nerds like meself :)
10 years ago a real time strategy game, (a.k.a "RTS"), called "Shogun Total War" was released. It enabled the player to control a samurai warlord in his/her quest to become the ultimate ruler of Japan in the feudal era. In this case 1530-1615.
On an interesting side-note: One, if not the primary, Japanese history advisor to the Shogun Total War game was renowned historian Dr. Stephen Turnbull (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Turnbull_%28historian%29).
So now after 10 years the same game company is developing the sequel to the above game: Shogun Total War 2.
