Hey,

I have been looking for Kendo Wallpaper which is next to impossible to find so I have decided to make it myself. I have borrowed some photos here and there and I hope they do not mind. If this is going to trouble anyone, please let me know so I can modify it again. Hope you like it. I just wanted to share them with Kendo enthusiasts...

I just download whole bunch of photos and did not recall where I got it from. Thanks !!! But if you don't feel uncomfortable about it, please let me know. I will take them off. Again, please understand that I am not trying to get credit for this, but I just wanted to share it. I have been looking for good wallpaper for last few days and I just gave up....

hmmm, Being man, it is very hard to define 'cute'. Do you have any cute photos which I can play around ?? It useally takes long time to find right photos for desktop. Once you find right photos, rest is easy......

maybe i'm asking for it by saying this, but I fail to see what kendo has to do with an anime featuring an effeminate-looking young boy who uses a structurally unstable "reversed edge sword" and can jump 20 feet into the air and do magical attacks with flames and wind and such. :D

actual attack from the series: "Heaven Flight Dragon’s Inspiration" = not kendo

and furthermore, it's one thing to call out "men" at the same time as we strike, but to call out the name of your magical attack while you're in midair before it has even hit your opponent... that's just wrong.
If I were an anime character i'd keep my damn mouth shut or just let out a scream or something. Because what happens in the off-chance that your opponent has heard of "rising ghost dragon happy fist strike lucky X" and knows exactly how to counter it? you're screwed :(

The Kanji in the right side translates:

ken wa kokoro nari(Ken is a spirit)
kokoro tadashikarazareba(If a spirit is not right,)
ken mata tadashikarazu(Ken is not right also)
ken o manabanto hossureba (If you want to learn ken,)
mazu kokoroyori manabubeshi(first, You should learn for spirit)

This poem saying is called Ken shin icchi(meets Ken and spirit) and is by the famous swordsman Shimada Toranosuke 1814-1852

He was one of the Greatest 3 kenshi at the end of Edo period.
He was born in Buzen-Nakatsu, Kyushu, which is my family home town!
He became a famous Kenshi in Kyushu at the age of 16.
He then came out to Edo when he was 24, and because his skill was so good,
soon he became Shihan (Sensei) in only a year. (So they say)
Katsu Kaishu was one of his Deshi (student).He also loved and studied Zen, and also Confucianism.
