I don't know of any internet sites nor have I ever made one myself... but I was planning on making one since I figure it is very simple to do.

All you need is a simple fabric... in any color of your liking. I think a dark green or black should do nicely. You fold it lengthwise to a suitable width and length to accommodate the number of shinai you want to carry. I think anything more than 2 is going to feel too bulky. Then you stick in a small leather piece at the bottom (to re-enforce the bottom) and you sew it all closed, except for an opening near the top to slip shinai and tsuba in. After all of the sewing, just turn the entire thing inside out (to hide the sewing lines) and you are good to go.

You may want to sew on straps to tie it closed but that is easy and after everything else.

Another thing you could do that is even easier is to leave the top open... add a pocket on the side for your tsuba (low enough so you can fold over the extra length at the top and high enough so it is covered when you fold over the extra top). Or sew in a button closure if you are sewing savvy.

I sewed two pillow cases together. It's a good fit for a few shinais.

Nice one arnold but I'm looking for something more stylish...just kiding lol

I was thinking of making one more kinda oval at the botom, maybe black and red duno yet, with a small pocket on the front.

well I'll let you know when it's finish and send a picture of it.

Thx

I don't think it's that hard, conceptually speaking. Here's a quick pattern I drew up. You'd have to use a nice, sturdy cloth... or double-layer it. If you want a himo to tie it with, stick it in an edge while you sew.

i went to a local tailor. he used bull denim, it has space for three shinai and a bokto. it has a flap over the top which just velcro's closed, a carrying handle and a tie at each end to tie it up once it's been rolled up. total cost, about $6.

Depends in how wide you make it. If it's, say, 6" wide, it should certainly fit two, would probably hold five or so comfortably.
