That's pretty cool. Love the red stencling. And the fact that somewhere sometime some guy is going to be wearing that and everyone's going to say "dude, why are you wearing a women's do?"

To protect the moobs, of course. That and to get attention... from the guys :D. They will be all over you asking "Dude, why are you wearing a women's do?".

Hey, shouldn't this be posted in the women's forum? Unless it was posted there already. Though, I'm sure a lot of other guys will be interested in it. All it needs now is a hello kitty design at the front :D.

I want one!

hmm I'm not sure if I would like it.
It looks for me as if you can't move your arms anymore.
I experience this with my do, when I'm in "seiretsu" ? I allways have got the edge of my do there where I would like to put my arms. But sensei said, it's the right size for me, so I guess I just have to get used to it.
And I've never had problems with to few protection for my breast yet. On the other hand, I've not so mutch ji geiko - experience and I don't get "do"ed that mutch. Might be a matter of size because I'm more than 15 cm smaller than everyone else? Or do Do-attacks increase with experience?

Wouldn't it be easier to strike someone taller on the Do rather than the Men? At least when they open up. How tall are you? The most common striking zones is Kote and Men if you ask me. I'm not sure if Tsuki is stricken less than Do.

1.60 meters. I'm by far the smallest one in my club :D
I don't like to perform a do-attack in ji geiko because I think it's difficult to do it quick and well aimed. And also I've got problems with the timing. So I mostly go for kote.
So I will not recieve more do-attacks with increasing experience?

This product really needs a road-test. Maybe a club out there with lot of women kenshi could persuade e-mudo to lend them a few to test. Would make a good Kendo World article.

PS - Short people tend to receive fewer do if most of their opponents are taller.

That is a Kawaii height o-(^o^)-b

You will receive some Do attacks, but not nearly as much as others. It probably will be due to your height. You will probably experience more Men attacks though. Unless you block. Yeah, if you block a men attack you could try just arching your swing around and go for Do. Kind of like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UxxkKmxjS0 When people shoot for men it leaves their Do open, so it becomes a valid target. You might want to practice with someone doing that. Ask them to go for men, block, then swing your Shinai around for Do. Try doing it over and over again when you've got time. It should eventually become ingrained in muscle memory and will become easier to execute. Kind of like a reflex. Practice makes perfect after all.

As I have pointed out before, a piece of 3mm foam on the inside of the keikogi in a pocket gets rid of the problem. Will not interfere with movement, you can't tell it's there and is more aesthetically pleasing. And it's cheap! Worked for me when the young guys were beating my armpit into a deep purple submission during team training.

I think there's a pretty big female kendoka contingent in New Jersey, where E-Mudo is located. I wouldn't be surprised if someone had done so. Bt I suppose it would be nice for potential purchasers to read a review from someone who had used it.

It is pretty, but I think a red do would actually match best with the red embroidery on it.

Yeah, if you block a men attack you could try just arching your swing around and go for Do.Men-kaishi-do is an advanced technique and she will be probably fine improving basic attacks.
That does not mean that i think You can not perform it perfectly.
