Hi,
You can also find a dojo on the recently updated AUSKF website:
http://www.auskf.info (http://www.auskf.info/)
There is currently no AUSKF affiliated kendo dojo in the Las Vegas, Nevada area.
Inouye-san is correct in stating that the Remnant Kumdo Dojo in Diamond Bar has applied for membership in the SCKF. He can provide the address and practice schedule, since I didn't take down any note of it. The membership process will take a few weeks and we can keep you posted on its status.

Thanks. Keep me updated if you have the address and other information. I'd like to send an email to ask for permission to practice there if I'm out there in the next month. You guys wouldn't happen to know any in the Napa Valley, N. Ca area?

Hi,
Try visiting the Northern California Kendo Federation (NCKF) website for a listing of kendo dojo in Northern California:
http://www.nckf.org
There are no kendo dojo in the Napa Valley as far as I know. The closest one(s) would probably be in Sacramento or San Francisco/Oakland.

That is strange....especially because that dojang is or was part of the United States Kumdo Union (USKU) which was a group that broke off affiliation w/ the IKF because they didn't agree with the policies..now one of the Dojos have applied for membership to the SCKF which is part of the AUSKF, which in turn is part of the IKF.....
The other strange thing is the request to join a 'Kendo' federation considering at one time on their federation website, the mission statement of the USKU was to expand their membership and bring the word, 'Kumdo' to the forefront so that it overshadows Kendo...they have since taken it off....
Hopefully the mission has changed and they want positive promotion of kendo for the future or friendship through kendo....

Out of curiosity, what are the general requirements for becoming an AUSKF dojo? A month or two ago (when I was looking for a dojo) I saw that the general consensus was to look for an IKF/AUSKF affiliated dojo, so I assumed that these dojos must have to follow some certain standard (at least to some degree) in order to be a "legit" dojo. On the website, though, there's no mention of any requirements that their dojos fulfill. I'm at a Kumdo place under the AUSKF anyway, but I was just wondering. I'm not looking for exact specifications or anything.

hi
guys
I would like to add that a Diamonds color is always a consideration for fancy cut Diamonds, as fancy cuts are more prone to showing color. This is sometimes slightly visible in the corners. This should not however be a problem on Diamonds with D, E, F, G or H color ratings.
