Any Mothers Day Events?

I was wondering if there was any upcoming Mothers Day Events (http://www.mothersday.net/) shows, competitions, workshops. Anything that I can bring the kids to and share and get them interested. Location doesn't really matter, if theres a huge display somewhere I would be willing to travel for that. Thanks! :smiley:

NCKF is having its Spring Shinsa on Mother's Day.

I don't know why.

The NCKF Spring Shinsa is typically on the first Sunday in May. Unfortunately, Sunday, May 1 coincided with the Sakura and Nikkei Matsuri, NCKF's primary fund-raising effort for the entire year, so the shinsa got bumped to May 8. Again unfortunately, Mother's Day is on the second Sunday, placing it this year earlier in the month than it often is.

I spent mothers day (all weekend in fact) on Kendo camp with my daughter. I'm pretty sure I was the only mother there :-).
