I have been very grateful to the folks of KendoWorld who go out of their way to tape the competitions in Japan for us site-goers and other kendo enthusiast. However an organized video/taping of events outside Japan and the EKC is rare. If by chance someone were to tape said competitions, would kendo-world be willing to accept the videos, so that everyone else can benefit from there viewing pleasure? I'd personally be happy to tape/edit videos of the event and or write up articles/entries on them (as long as they are somewhat local tournaments).

Realistically, KW probably wants to be careful what associate their name with. If KW hosts 3rd party videos and they are of poor quality or infringe on other's copyrights, it's doesn't do any good to KW's business. The cost to benefit analysis from such an arrangement doesn't seem very positive.
It would be nice if you make a youtube/dailymotion/vimeo channel and post links in the media section, then we could still still see all those other kendo vids.

Blog it up. Can't speak for KW, but I'm sure the rest of us would like seeing tournaments from wherever you happen to be.

Sounds like an awesome idea to me. The articles for taikai generally only need to be around 500 words, send them through and it can get chucked up on the page.
If you were willing to video shiai as well that could work out well. Note that the KW videos are HD though. You would have to find a way to transfer the files to one of the KW people though. Poor quality wouldnt be an issue as worst case scenario it just wont be put up right? as far as copyright goes, if the person who records it is acknowledged in the video it shouldn't be too much of a problem...
All in all I think its an epicly awesome idea (yes thats proper grammar).
