I'm sure Jesus would've been an awesome ass-kicker. Where's our favourite religious drooler Han when you need him?

Hmmm ... turning the other cheek doesn't exactly make for great ass-kicking. :)

I'm sorry, but I can't imagine any sort of situation or circumstance where I would ever need him! :)

I come not to bring peace, but to bring a sword.I reckon he could've turned the den of thieves out much quicker with daisho. ;)

Sounds like the makings of a new poll .... "Would Jesus have used a Muramasa or Masakune?"

The whole turning the other cheek thing is quite out of context here because Jesus wasn't talking about self defense in the first place.

I tend to agree with Joseph Swetnam on the subject of Martial Arts and Self Defense for Christians:

"I hold it a tempting of God to presume wholly upon him for all occassions whatsoever, without seeking other means
which is commonly known, and by God prepared for us, as if we were sick men we ought to take the physicians counsell...

We must not lie still without using other means besides, saying God help us, but for this and all other things God hath
appointed means, we must seek and then no doubt God will give his blessing with it."

Haven't seen any of him lately, has he joined a dojo yet or is he still twirling in his backjard?

I noticed you have a fan trolling the forum Scott, what did you do this time? robbed a bank in a clownsuit with your pet goat?:-)

and then saying you do not love your pets...

Yup, I have my own thread and everything.

Actually, while it was pretty amusing at first, it is now just lame. This guy needs banning, and his IP blocked from rejoining. He contributes zero, and is only here to add to the KWF carnage.

I do not understand why a person claiming to be so balanced and such calling himself a sensei would put energy in something like this.

Could it be he's secretly in love with you? Or would it just be envy because your dojo look better then his?

After giving it a good thought I think we can nolonger deny Mr Killmore, erm Killgore, access to KWF. To guarrentee he will behave I suggest to give him an account named "AllKillgore911" and give it only access to the flames area on a specific thread called "AllKillgore911 vs ScottUK, the final battle"

In here these fine gentlemen can fight with each other for our pleasure.

To make this a fair fight these 2 will be the only ones who can post on this.

Hehe no, Mr K can do his thing and I will do mine. I'm just glad the fine citizens of Minnesota can tune in to The Googles and find this thread.

Oh, and for anyone reading this - there is actually decent kenjutsu in Minnesota now. I know 'cos I was there last year training with them.

I'm glad about that. A friend of me put his daughter at some McDojo where they had advanced 7 year olds sparring with bokken in sword classes. I warned him about the danger. Luckily his daughter is pretty smart and nothing ever happend to her. I understood she never did the sword classes so only kicking and punching.

First thing I ask when friends and family say they start martial arts is if they are going to a legit dojo.

You'd be suprised how many do not realise how many do not realise there is something as a legit dojo and even more never wondered if the dojo is insured for accidents. I know I have never asked while doing karate.

Dangerous yet funny at the same time. I like how the girl at the front breaks her pose to check if her wrist is ok at 1.00.

ogamidojo => omigod dojo would be better.

Darn a dutch McDojo, to me the website looks like they just have way too many budo. I'm also missing any memberships to international budo federations or which dan these teachers would have.

I thought tachi jutsu was an unarmed budo which was specificly used by police officers? Could any of you clarify?

That's it yeah, I understood that the UK police officers have such techniques in their basic training.

I saw a demonstration long time ago, old guy which was basically torturing those guys. You could see on their faces he was hurting them.

It was very impressive

Don't deny yourself, David.

Lars, the West Mids Police learned Wing Chun a few years back. Seems like they took to it too, as they have their own dojo (kwon?) at their 'Tally Ho!' training headquarters now.

I saw some vids from onoha itto ryu and read that Junzo Sasamori 16th headmaster of onoha itto ryu, who also was a 10th dan in kendo.

When looking at the vids I noticed that you could basically derive kendo out of the way they attacked.

The vids where with Sasamori's son.

I'll be honest, the "HA" behind "RYU" that you had put there confused me.

I do not know which kenjutsu ryuha have been used to to form modern kendo. While watching these vids I noticed similairities.

When I read about Sasamori Soko's high kendo rank I was very suprised. Did I understand it right that this ryu has a history from the start of the Edo period?
