5th dan grading

Hey all,

had my 5th dan grading yesterday. Passed but was very nervous on the day. It was 37.8 the hottest day of the summer and the hottest part of Japan on that day. It was a small rural grading, 7 people tried for 5th dan, 4 passed.
Any feedback or thoughts about it would be nice. I got a little feedback all was positive, but I wouldn`t mind hearing what you guys think. I am on the left, my number is A-4.

yes both my opponents passed.
from the B group there were three people of which only one passed, nerves got the better of them and floundered in the kata.
overall I thought the level to be quite good, but for the kata, even my nerves were umm shakey. The B group were prison guards and their tachi-ai was fantastic.
the 4th dan level was pretty bad, about 20 people about half failed, again mostly in the kata.

It was super hot, downstairs where I spent most of the day is the judo room with tatami mats was very hot. but when I went upstairs to the kendo dojo, I nearly fell over for the heat . but it was a very beautiful dojo with fantastic floor . must be newish as I could still smell the new cut wood smell.

Congratulations! Your group had an admirably high pass rate compared to the first 5th dan shinsa I attended (and failed to pass). Of about 18 candidates, only 2 passed.
