Check the listing at http://www.auskf.info (direct link: http://auskf.info/mainpages/schools.htm). There's two in Kentucky: one in Lexington, and one in Covington. Lexington appears to be closer to you by a fair distance, but I think you're stuck if you need something closer.

Thanks. I most likely do need something closer so I'll probably go into a different martial art that has a dojo nearer to where I live. Oh well.

Hello. I currently train primarily at the Central Kentucky Kendo Club located in Lexington, KY, I also train in Covington one weekend per month. I am in Louisville, KY so travel time is something I experience with each day of training. I would imagine that from Leitchfield you would have any where from 2-3 hours to get to Lexington. The Lexington Dojo only takes new students twice per year and I can not recall which months. Covington (I believe) takes students at any time.
Both the Lexington and Covington dojo have wonderful instructors. Imura Sensei, Takeshima Sensei, Komada Sensei, Kotani Sensei. Nakamura Sensei, Vittores Sensei, all of which offer great instruction.
Don't let the distance prevent from you from giving it a chance. You should at least come and observe a practice and see if this is what you want. This Saturday there is a promotion test in Lexington, KY

I will see if I can come and observe the practice. How often do you travel there to practice? Once a week?
