Miyazaki Senseis are coming to New York on 2/10/04.
They will go to Broadway Show on 2/10/04, and practice will be held at Kenzen Dojo (Manhattan) on 2/11/04 from 7PM-9PM.
If you need a direction to Kenzen Dojo (Manhattan), please check www.kenzendojo.com

Has anyone on this forum known about this? I sure like to have had the chance to practice with Miyazaki brothers :-(

Looks like the bogu sold on this site is from Kendoshop.com....
All the pics are the same...check out the 1.0bu 60 bamboo Do on both sites...they are the same...
Also, the 1.5bu Men is the same on both sites...
Maybe that factory has decided to open a shop in the U.S.

I also wish that the organizers of their NY stay had chosen to advertize the event more widely (at kendoworld, for example), instead of just on the main page of the most obscure, least known internet bogu company.

e-mudo...
Don't ever buy anything from them. They are horrible. They were there in the Yale Tournament, and their shinais were absolutely horrible. A guy broke his shinai in his first match using it. And, the free ones we got from getting 3rd place in the tournament, we have 4, and 3 of them broke already, and the other one, the guy didn't even open it yet. I'm sure it'll break really soon if he does. None of the shinais lasted more than 2 practices. I don't know about their other stuff, but, if their shinais are that horrible, their other stuff can't be that good either.

hahahahaha the guy that broke it in the first match using it.. you're talking about the guy from my team right? don't use that to judge.. because he swings it like a bat.. frickin' at Cornell I let him use one of my shinai that I had been saving.. never used.. good quality.. and yesterday I examined it and it's broken too -_-

anyone tried their luck with a bogu from them? they have quite a good deal for the whole shabang... bogu, uniform, and bags plus the free shipping is very tempting.
but yeah, it seems the entire operation is korean based... ie: kendoshop in the USA. but the stuff from kendoshop isn't bad, i've gotten shinais from them that are alright. the other misc stuff i got from them weren't as good as compared to say e-bogu but they were cheaper... and you get what you pay for.
anyway, anyone with bogu experience from e-mudo? i may end up getting a new set from e-bogu, but shipping with them is horrible.
