Hello -
I recently began taking Kendo course at my college here in Maine, but the sensai is leaving us at the end of the semester to return to Japan. According to AUSKF there are no Kendo dojos in the state.
Do any of you know otherwise, and travel distance is not a problem as long as it is within the state or very close to the border?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Sam

Sam,
Sorry but the closest I know from Maine is the Boston Dojo http://www.boston-kendo.com/. I know that the drive can take a long time, I've got access to a house in North Anson for skiing Sugarloaf, yet the instruction at Boston is first rate. Harrison Sensei is a 5th dan and is an excellent instructor. Please consider the challenge of the drive for your kendo future.
Thank you.
Surrender to Kendo and never let anyone steal your dreams.

Hi -
Thanks for the responce. I know the drive to Boston all too well, it's only about 2.5 to 3 hours from me, so it is a possibility. I'm still looking for places closer though...
Thanks for the reccomendation, I'll look into it right away. If anyone else has some, please post!
Thanks,
Sam
