I have heard many positive comments about bogubag.com. I am getting bogu from them soon, so far the communication has been excellent. Run a search in the forums you will see a good amount of info on their equipment :)

I just ordered a set for myself from them... S-20 men and kote, GZ-17 tare, and the 50 stave Yamato doh... I'm expecting it within the month! So far, my dealings with them have been wonderful.

That is pretty close to what I ordered, only it was the S-22 men and kote. Please post your impressions when you receive it. I can hardly wait for my set to arrive, and I only just ordered it yesterday :confused2
what do you guys pay with, checks? or credit card? if it's credit card, is it safe?

It's Stroud Sensei we're talking about - he wouldn't stake his reputation for some measley internet scam.

I have recently purchased two sets GZ-17 Bogu, hakama and keiko gi
from BoguBag. Robert Stroud made it extremely easy to place the order. He is very well known with many sensei in Hawaii and is highly recommended.

Well... I finally got it.
Wow.
I really like it so far, have not had the chance to use it yet though :confused2
Am getting really anxious. Anyway, I will offer more impressions once I get to use it...

Well, got the chance to use the bogu! :ko:
Great protection from the tare and the mune (guess how I found that out).
I left practice feeling exhausted and elated.
Pretty good all around knuckle protection, except for the my middle finger. The base of that finger is a little sore. Unfortunately, I also learned the value of a men pad - some people have the habit to hit too deep with too much force, which would pretty much negate a lot of the protection offerred by the men. Men pad it is for me now.
As a reminder, I got the following parts from Bogubag. And yes, it looks bloody nice!!!!!
1. #05-220 Men, Titanium, 3 mm, color P
2. Doh, 50 Yamato Doh, kon peta Mune
3. #06-220, Kote, deerskin
4. #07-170, Tare, 5 rows, 4.5 mm stitch (from set S-17)

If I remember correctly from talking to the owner, he indicated that most if not all of his bogu is from Koei in Japan. I've been dealing with them for several years and have have loved all the stuff I've gotten from them. Just recently I've ordered some swords from bogubag, and am currently waiting for them to arrive.

Just bought some equipment from ebogu. All I have to say is that I am very pleased with the quality and their service.

I ordered the practice shinai, and got a free up grade. that made me very happy!
