To all the New York and New England kenshi,

Is there going to be an (open) tournament held during the summer anywhere in the New York/New England area?

Some people from McGill might want to drop down if one is held in the summer this year (no promises).

I know it's a bit early to ask but what the heck... may as well plan in advance right?

Thanks.

Usually in late June or early July there is the All Eastern United States Kendo Federation's Taikai - last year it was held at some high school downtown but dojos from all over the Tri-state area came and participated. (Represent!!) :D. If you want more information, I think Kataoka Sensei of the NYC Kendo Club was chairman of the tourney last year, so he may know some thing about whats going on this year. Cheers.

Last year's AEUSKF torny was on June 22nd. Don't know when it's going to be this year. It's usually hosted by Kataoka Sensei of NYCKC dojo. So you should check their website. WWW.NYCKENDO.COM

5ro,

Forgot to add: Please keep us posted about any information surrounding the tournament (fees, divisions, rules, etc.)

I'll see if some people in my neck of the woods are interested.

Thanks again.
