I'm brand new at kendo and i wanted to know the difference in the sizes of shinai so i may find the best size for me. can anyone help?

Adult
Male = 39
Female = 38
Children = ask teacher

They come in the same sizes, except I don't think you can get the really little ones. For sure 36,38,39.

Check the manufacturer themselves for all your carbon shinai needs! :D

Ususally it's 38 for women and 39 for men... but it also comes down to your height and preference.. I know ppl who use 38s cause either they are short (men) or cause they feel more comfortable with it. There are also women size 39 shinais too..

I usually use a 39 like all of you said they normly go women 38 men 39 I have a custom made shinai thats a 59 but I just play around with it most the time
