Hi people,
I'll be in Montreal next weekend for my friend's Bachelor party.
While the night events have obviously been planned out, our day events are a bit sketchy. Some of us are going to the Casino in the daytime but for those of us who doesn't gamble, we'd like to see what Montreal has to offer. Does any one have any suggestions? Or know any day events, museums etc. that may be interesting?
Any help is appreciated.

hmmm... I often think tht Montreal is a great place to live but not really to visit unless you come during the summer for the festivals.
However, if the weather warms up quickly (as it is prone to do at this time of year) I suggest just walking up and down St-Denis street. Nice cafés or bars, beautiful women, shops (although I don't shop generally), etc.
The Old Port is a nice place actually: Expensive though. There's an interesting museum there called Pointe à Callières museum... it's mostly historical stuff: although I've never been. Sort of the cobblestone streets look all around that place.
I'm afraid I don't know from strip clubs.. although you'll find plenty on Ste-Catherine st. in the "downtown area" (métro McGill or Peel). For some reason people want to go to the strip clubs in Montreal.
You know... I have no idea what really to recommend you do. I just live here after all. Maybe someone who's visited can help you out more than I can... :D sorry, so much for that job at the tourism board...

Ste. Catherine is a neat place to hang out, just wander around, check out the people. Weird mix of stuff, 400 year old churches next to head shops next to strip clubs next to Cartier shops. It's great! Rue St. Denis is a good place to go to get rejected by a beautiful french girl who's cooler than you.

during the day the best would be either going walking up the "mountain", (you can get a nice view of montreal and the St-Laurence river there), or going to the old-port, its also a really nice place to go.
You should go see a Habs Hockey game too... we are in fire!!!

Thanks for the information guys.
I've decided to take two extra days in Montreal in order to do some snowboarding as well.
But I’ll be sure to check out Rue St. Denis.
Hitting on Beautiful French girls is playing the odds but the one success is worth 100 rejections (I have no shame) . Hopefully, one of them will be interested in tall skinny Asian dude.
This is going to be great!
Thanks again.

Should warn you that the freaking weather won't help your trip. It's mighty cold here for some reason (must be Max's return from Japan).
It feels like January out there.
St-Denis st. will probably be devoid of cute girls (at least outdoors).
