At the bottom of the NIr pictures page, it indicates the images are from the Meiji jinju embu at the Meiji shrine in Tokyo in 2001. Images taken by Ulf Lehmann who also wrote the following article on Hyoho Niten ichi ryu (http://www.page-five.de/TENSHU/niten.htm). The article gives a little history on Musashi and talks a bit about Enmei/Emmei/Enmyo/Niten Ichi ryu and their techniques and its links to Buddhism. I have no idea as to the validity of the article.
I hope our aquatic friend Hyakutake sensei can comment when he has the time.
The site certainly is interesting, lots of pictures (funky Yagyu shingan ryu images with some helmet-jutsu technique http://www.kendo-world.com/forum/images/icons/icon12.gif) and lots of articles, the ryu map section is neat. The bibliography makes sense, as a lot of information on the site seems from the Draeger/Skoss books.
Mein Deutsch is very rusty...

Yeah, the use of the helmet by the ashigaru is pretty cool.
