take at least two video cameras... theres too much going on at the same time to watch it all! My tape from 2002 jumps around like nobody's business...ooh a bit of katori....ooh some spear...ooh some kusarigama...I was like a kid in a sweet shop. :smiley: Have a wander down to the big arts centre, there was an antiques fair on when I was there, loads of cheap swords and armour and tsuba and and and...next time I'll take more cash... also there are some shops in the Budokan, like Tozando, shinai makers, swords for iaido etc. I got some good bargains there.

Me and a couple of guys from IBU were planning an outing for the taikai, but after looking at the ticket costs we decided against it. Next time perhaps ;).

Thanks to everyone for the info. I am especially interested in the koryu demos. Do you know when those are?

thye tend to be on all but the last day, which was kendo last time. It starts with the juniors(!??!) at 7th dan then works up to the top people. I got a lot of koryu shots on saturday at various times so that might be the best time to go...
