Is it badly viewed if one chooses to switch dojo, thus switching sensei? Would this be considered a sign of disrespect or lack of loyalty towards the current sensei? Or, is this quite common?
I might have to switch for schedule reasons.
Thanks.

If you are changing for scheduling reasons, then, it's not a problem. Just tell your sensei that your schedule is changing and that you will be attending a different dojo that fits your schedule.

I would phrase it in the form of a question, Alex. As in "sensei, my schedule is changing and I won't be able to attend classes here anymore. Dojo X has classes that fit my schedule, may I have your permission to train there?"
