Can anyone give me any insight into what this place exactly is?

It looks like the have a really neat program for international students to learn both the technique and theory behind either Kendo or Judo. It also looks like there are Japanese language and Japanese Studies elements to the program. It would be really cool to go to a University for the sole purpose of studying Kendo. Although what does a degree from there give you? Does it just qualify you to know a lot about Kendo and maybe become a sensei if you get enough experience? Or is it like any other college major degree, except that it is in Kendo?

I am asking because I have lost my desire to get a Masters Degree (for the time being), but many states in the U.S. are requiring teachers to obtain a Masters degree within certain time frames. This would really inspire me to go back to school if it passes just like any other degree.

Thanks

Thank you for the redirecting there. Sorry, I missed finding that post.

Two more questions then which I did not see on that thread.

So would I be able to get a Masters Degree in Kendo or something related to it if I spent enough time studying there?

How many years would that take?

One of our contributors, Steven Harwood (kendo and breathing) did his masters there in 2 years, but you'll need fluent Japanese, both written and spoken to do that.
