it should be the usual 0-4/3-1 groups. However the womens will probably be just one kyu group. Once we get the actual entrys we can determine the final groups.
http://www.kendo-pnkf.org/news/pnkftaikai.phtml Actual info is now posted on the PNKF web site and I believe there will be downloadable forms shortly.

About 300 entries if it is like last year.
Inouye, we are buying a brand new trophy. The old one is toast. If you win, you can take it home but then you have to come back next year.

right, you can sign up for the mens division if you would rather. Right now I have no idea what the women's division(s) will be. I do know that some of the women in my dojo have not signed up at all. That is both mu and yu..

Wow~ it's been awhile since I visted this site. Things haven't changed...the same people trying to cause trouble... :devious:
Anyways, just wanted to say "otsukare" to everyone who was in the tournament. I thought the tournament went quite smoothly, and I know everyone from my club had fun.
SCI's matches were again, very entertaining to watch  The VKC girls, just wanted to say, "Maybe we shouldn't invite them to practice...we don't want to practice with them...kowai!" moocow...I enjoyed watching some of your new kamae's...a couple of our girls had a fun time trying to copy your moves on the way home in the bus, and Mr. Chinen....the VKC boys, and myself as well, are still in awe of your men-uchi. Kannpeki dane~
Mr. Inouye, thanks for lending your son to our team....he did an excellent job, and I even think he made some new Canadian friends ^^ If any of you are from NW dojo, thank you for lending us one of your kids too! The team wasn't too lucky, but the kids had fun, and that's really what is important.
Ok, that's it for now.....congrats to everyone and see you next year!

Glad to hear you had a good time. I thought the two adds did you real well by you. It was very close in both cases with their matches. Sure hope your teammate found her stuff. Really worried me to hear that she was missing anything.
As far as complaining just read McBeth or as Omoto sensei says" The view is always clearer from the sidelines".

Yes, please hit me on the head for a change. You know, the "head"... that thing that isn't an ELBOW. An elbow being the thing that gets in the way of poorly timed gyaku-dou... The men is the roundish thing sitting atop someone's neck.
French if you want to give me a thrashing you'll have come here! No fighting by proxy! (even if I did mandate Nancy to take out Antoine for me (because of the elbow), which she has failed to do since I see he came back alive. Moral of the story: never trust a pikachu to do an ogre's job)

Yup, they were pretty bizarre matches. Marsten-sensei, my "do-nothing" kendo was actually a set-up for my final waza. I was planning on doing it a little bit longer, but that hansoku gave me no choice but to do it right then and there. Hahah, anyways fun tournament. We all had a great time. It was great to see all y'all again. And yes, our name was:

Hahaha sorry Alex but you will have to find another hit-man to do the job.
misterkurukuru
16th November 2004, 12:54 PM
yes, that import seemed mighty cocky...but he needs to know that i have a bigger head then he does!! All i had to do was hikiwake, so i just let him chase me around the court for 3 min. I was smiling at him the whole time...he didnt seem to like that. i got a little carried away, but its not like i hurt him...well maybe his pride ( he couldnt beat an out of shape american...man i would feel bad too!)

BTW,
I thought the match between King sensei using Jodan and Chinen sensei was really cool.
The way Chinen sensei used his footwork rhythmically while alternating in and out of chudan-hanmi was a scene straight out of the final match between Musashi Natsuki and Shura Toudou in the comic book Musashi no Ken....
FWIW.

No excuses. You failed in your mission. I must now disavow all knowledge of your (non) action.

Other than, those guys from SoCal keep leaving with it? :)well you won't have to worry about that anymore, because you guys will never see again, it now resides at Westwood One , home of the Lykis talk show, but we will be bringing the new replacement plaque back next year, maybe the OTHER So Cal will win it , Team SCI will not be in attendance, Hopefully we will be taking some other Federations trophy home ...

Does anyone have any connections with the Hawaii people who went to the PNKF? Some of them took pictures of us, and I wanted them so I could put them up on our dojo website. Thanks.
Hey Moocow,
I forwarded the link of the photos that I took to Tabuchi san.
Can't post the link here anymore because it took up too much of my friend's bandwidth.
