At last i found something that maybe useful to not just me but the community on this forum dedicated to Kendo. Through the rentless training and the soles of my foot turning the skin hard and dry the Internet once again have gave me a reason to go one ;) well then lets see what i can't find down HMV but online!

Something good i came across about this website publishing its own range of martial arts dvds that i wouldnt really find in a commercial store, what is also good is that it sells a fully english Kendo dvd for not just me but everyone :) So then everyone what is your opinion on this? Post post post!!!

Quick look at the site, they look like crap videos, I'm afraid - apart from the semi-intelligible English, and the hyperbolic sales crap - "never before seen on video” advanced sparring (Keiko) techniques such as shikake waza (Attacking Techniques), Oji Waza (receiving Techniques) and an for on Kendo!
I don't think there are any not seen on video, (maybe the special beach-side waza?)and I've seen a lot of kendo videos. Anything more than some superficial platitudes about the influence of Zen on kendo won't fit into a video tape.
Pretty much anyone who does kendo in Japan is a member of the All Japan Kendo Federation, so don't think that it is approved by them, as it isn't.
If you want a kata DVD, Kendo Nippon is putting out their's in English (done by Kendo World) And it will be available in a month or so.

They sell this on amazon too. I don't think it is very good. Perhsps a good introduction to kendo for people too far away from a dojo or those that wish to be samurai (cheaper than buying a bogu in the first lesson and quitting on the next day) but nothing more.
Tozando sells quite a few DVD (http://kendo.tozando.com/misc/dvd.html)s but they are horribly expensive although the packaging looks beautiful.

Did Dr. Gordon Warner endorse the "This is Kendo Today" DVD???
That's what it says on the 2nd link....
Also, for the Kendo-World Staff...what are the chances that ZNKR will put their 6 videos in DVD form ?
Personally, I like the format of the kata video with Nakamura sensei & Oda sensei in it better...just personal preference.
