Has anyone ever noticed how men's deoderant is of things that dont have a real scent? what does mountain spring smell like? alpine fresh? We have it harder in the cologne and deoderant aisle.

women have it easy. I know what flowers smell like...

You do have to think about this a little bit though. At least the companies that make scents like mountain stream are trying to create a scent of something that quite possibly actually has that scent. It's easier to understand than trying to create a scent for emotions for perfumy things. For example, obsession. Thanks to them, we now know what it smells like. :)

I'm not on drugs, though, just lack of sleep.

I disagree. Some of my classmates smell like a chemical factory.

Those are made up names made by marketers. They are associated with the idea of mountain spring or alpine fresh or sport or whatever, not associated with actual smells.

True, marketers drive the names of such products but I often wonder: If I stand on a beach long enough and smell past the dead fish, floating garbage, cigerette smoke from neighboring beach bums and exhaust from the tour buses, then maybe it would smell like the gooey gel called "Ocean Breeze" under my arms. Today, however, I am "Cool Wave." I should change my login name...

While we're on stupid topics, would it be possible to tatoo your whole body with UV protecton so you'd never have to use sunscreen again?

labels and names... who cares about those? just go with a girl, open all the deodorants and ask her to tell you which one smells better.

then keep using that. i dont even have a flying clue on what my deodorants 'smell name' is, i just pick the black one i know its good.

and girls dont have it easier, cos they just overanalize everything over and over while shopping. its beyond our male conception :D

Women over analyze. Overanalise is what alternate lifestyle men do.

"having trouble trying to smell what kind of scent it is supposed to be." ..."sigh"

they just name it the way it is so that they can sell it. the fancier the name is, the easier it is to remember.

do monkeys really go to heaven? i mean, i know they don't but how about those really smart ones?...lol
