USA is a sad country. You are about 275,562,673 habitants, but you only have two choices for the one leading the country (and changing the way the world goes). One who's the Duty-Reporter clown, and the other is the Really-Stupid-Clown-Chief. Clown Kerry is not bad, speaks well, and really has a lot of prestence (he looked really like he was the prez in the debate). Clown Bush on the other hand, is pretty dumb, pretty unhuman, looked more like an ass (wich he represents) than the most powerful man in the country. Hopefully, Kerry will "prevail", people know what George's like. But geez...you only really have the choices between two clowns!!!

Only rich men/women (basically) can run for president, unless of course your Nader. Nader, Nader, Nader!

I was just thinking that yesterday... It's silly how only rich people can run. Though, it does keep out people like DaQuota running for Prez. *cough, gag*

And, hehehe, do you know what Democrats are represented by? The donkey! Read it two ways. hahaha! :D

Uhm, guys, I hate to point it out, but all of you made the same mistake John Kerry did.

The reason why they are rich is because of all of the things that they have to do in order to get noticed. There are the trips, the TV advertisements, the debates, among other things that are involved and that takes money. Anybody can run, it is just that you can't get yourself noticed all that well on a minimum wage budget. As my parents have always said to me, Presidential elections are when we elect the lesser of two evils.

Out of interest, how aware are people in the US that Australia was part of the Coallition?

Ah yes, and in Canada, politics are far more noble: http://www.polspy.ca/

Down with Bush. Please vote for Kerry if you're in the U.S., and secure a better future.

To put it simply, not really. It's just that I'm so sick of Bush and Kerry that there was no one else, and Nader is just an average whitey doin his job (like me!) Go Nader!

I don't. I think it's dumb how only the rich (kinda) get to run. Maybe the government should fund it? Maybe, or maybe thats the dumbest idea. Everyone would run and make all the government money go down the drain. All well. :confused2

Here in Mexico the parties are state sponsored. I think it's a really bad idea. We have about 10 different parties in the chambers. Almost everyone can run and get a load of money. I'm thinking of founding the Monster Raving Loony Party Mexico.

Without getting specific, I do. There are things that the government does that I don't necessarily agree with, but I think that goes on everywhere. There are places, however, that do not give you a chance to think about disagreeing with the government (I use the term loosely). It's impossible to agree with everything anyone does, let alone get an entire country in agreement. It may not be a perfect system, but I think it's still a good one despite its shortcomings.

I agree though that Kerry would be a lot better president than Bush... but you never know...

I also thought that Dukakis should have been president 16 years ago because I thought his name sounded cool.
