If you insist :-) So some short story here, you can read the whole one at http://www.prague-kendo-cup.euweb.cz

The event lasted 3 days, there was a seminar on Friday and Saturday and the tournament on Sunday. There were about 120 participants from Austria, Czech Rep., Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden and Romania. It one of the biggest events in the Central Europe, very international  .

Seminar was led by Kamemoto-sensei, there were other senseis like Kibe-sensei from Hungary, Ishikubo-sensei from Romania and Kustosz-sensei from Poland.
We did a lot of suburi both days, this is Kamemoto-sensei favorite topic :) especially the suburi, where you stand in low and wide stance like this http://prague-kendo-cup.euweb.cz/ppk2k4/gallery/webseminar/imagepages/dscf1390.html

This probably strenghtens your leg muscles, but it hurts like hell after some time. Sensei was again full of humor, he always said "OK, last hundred .... maybe", then of course we did 100 more and then again and again...

While we did this low-stance suburi he asked Kibe sensei to switch with him so Kibe can demonstrate and Kamemote can rest. When we began, Kamemoto and Ishikubo sat on Kibe's thighs and of course all three had a lot fun of it (japanese humor, you know) I still don't get it, but Kibe-sensei finished all suburi with with a smile in a wide stance and big guy on each knee... Here you see that a rokudan actualy means something :smoker:

Advanced training was all about nuki waza, we practiced several variations, with different footwork and targets. We also did katas no. 1, 2 and 7 (where there is nuki waza).

It was cool, that there was a lot of time for for ji-geiko with senseis.

Tournament was cool with about 90 people, there were a lot of good and strong competitors. Results arein my post above. Cool was the semifinal between Wial from Poland and Mraz from Austria. For those who do not know him, Mraz is a VERY big and strong jodan guy and really tough. Wial managed to disararm him and later de-kote him. Final match was also nice Baumruk and Wial had very similar style. Wial seemed a very little bit stronger to me, but Baumruk won by a perfect timed cool kote nuki men, you can see a video here http://prague-kendo-cup.euweb.cz/ppk2k4/download/preview.avi

So it was quite a big event for us and the Kendo-kas in the region, I hope they liked it. We also had H.E. Japanese ambassador there observing the semifinals and final, he seemed he liked it.

If you like to know more see the web, there is a lot of pictures there.

This probably strenghtens your leg muscles, but it hurts like hell after some time. Sensei was again full of humor, he always said "OK, last hundred .... maybe", then of course we did 100 more and then again and again...100 of kibedaci-kote strikes! Oiiii... I'm dead after only 10 of these. :D
