I know this topic has been beaten like a dead horse, but my question is not a general pro/con oval/round one.

I'm currently using a Dobari (fat tsuka) style shinai, and want to try a Dobari Koban Gata (fat oval grip) shinai.

Can anyone make any reccommendations for a vendor/product? I'd prefer one in the United States. I'm currently looking at e-bogu's "Obaru" shinai.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I have only used it once (and that was because my normal shinai splintered) and the balance was superb. Really helped when doing kote-men along the dojo. Still it's my first non normal shinai so I can't really compare.

I used the Obaru once. Then I started using Musha and haven't looked back since. ;)
