I agree that this shouldn't be in multimedia, because it's for kendo related media..... but i won't pass up a chance to post some art.

It seems that you guys like fantasy style drawings. I really like yours nalogg, and your little alien creatures. And I also like Celtic Kendoists, but I do agree with wifenmummy that your proportions are a bit off on the predator drawing. I like the dragon too, and that it really looks cool! It would look a bit more scary if you had made the horns bigger.

The first pick is from a photo in kendo world magazine I believe to be a match in the world championships in 2002 or 2001. It’s an old mag. The shimpan were wearing bogu in the photo. I don’t know why. I didn’t deliberately miss out the tsuba or the hakama flap thingy. I guess I wasn’t looking for minute detail and I would call it artistic license.:p

Recently our club has had an influx of pre/early-teen girls....
i never made the connection but they're probably Uma wannabes....

yeah there's at least 5 of these beginner girls.

Watching kill bill again last week, my current kendo knowledge (though it's still not the greatest) made the movie a little tarnished.... especially uma's weird jodan horse-stance. i caught myself going "pfft" a lot.

But at the same time you gotta admire movied for that... their goal is to dazzle, rather than recreate reality, and sometimes you just gotta enjoy all those wire fights and such.
